Steve Jobs summarizes his way of being in his famous speech to Stanford University students in 2005:
“Your time is limited. Don’t waste it by living an existence that is not yours. Do not be prisoners of dogmas, it is nothing more than living according to the conclusions and thoughts of others. Don’t let the hubbub of others’ opinions stifle your inner voice. And, above all, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition: somehow they know what you really want to become. Everything else is secondary. Be insatiable. Be crazy. »

So we know Steve Jobs a little better. Here are the 10 tips that he believes will help us succeed in what we are doing.
Tip 1: Do what you like
For Steve Jobs: “Passionate people can change the world and make it a better place.
When asked about the advice he would give to an entrepreneur, he replied, “I would choose a job and change it until I was really passionate about it
Indeed, according to Steve Jobs, you shouldn’t work for money but rather for what you love. The money will come in a second time.
Most people work because they have no other choice. They all work simply to survive.
Others have a choice but have money as their main vision. And gives up because he is not passionate about their job or the creation of their company.
Tip 2: Don’t wait
Do you want to start a business? So get started.
Waiting will only delay the moment when you start. Worse still, by procrastinating you will never even get started.
When we launch into it, we take concrete action. Of course, nothing will be perfect. But this will improve over time.
When Steve Jobs was 12 years old, he wanted to build a frequency converter.
Despite his young age, he took the courage and decided to call Bill Hewlett (co-founder of HP) directly to ask for his help.

Tip 3: Never give up
Achieving a dream is not easy, and it requires a lot of effort, a lot of will power and a lot of self-confidence.
On the path of our dreams, we will encounter a thousand difficulties, which will demoralize us and make us think that we cannot continue.
However, it is always possible to continue, and there is always a way or another way to reach your dreams.
It is essential to put aside your fears because it is normal to be afraid in the face of uncertainty, but it is not to let yourself be paralyzed by fear.
First of all, do what you are afraid of, don’t save it for the end, and the rest will be much easier.
All entrepreneurs are familiar with what is known as “desert crossing”. That moment when efforts don’t pay off. That moment when no one follows you.
You are alone in front of yourself and start asking yourself many questions:
- “Am I made for this? »
- “Why doesn’t it work? »
- “Should I continue? »
Then, yes, you must persevere. Know how to question yourself and act with the right strategies. All deserts have an end.
Tip 4: Always be in motion
No dream will come to look for you at the door of your house. You’ll have to go outside to look for what you want.
Move your body and mind, with regular activity. No matter your age, it is always possible to find things to do.
It is simply a matter of getting out of this “comfort zone” and developing all our professional and personal capacities.
“If you don’t work for your dreams, someone will hire you to work for his.” Steve Jobs
Play sports, read, travel, walk, go to the movies or the theatre, ride a bike, write, take a class you like, paint, take pictures, cook, draw, sing and dance.
Express every second of your existence, live the “here and now”, and never remain static.
Learn something new every day and never stop making your mind work.
Exercise every day, never stop moving your body.
Tip 5: Never stop dreaming
Throughout our lives, we must maintain a dream that drives us to get up every morning with joy and that draws a smile on our face.
It must be something that moves us to the depths of our being, that motivates us, that makes us vibrate and that fulfills us.
Have self-confidence, know your strengths and weaknesses, know your passions and fight for what you love, for your dream.
Difficulties should not be a reason for discouragement but a reason to fight with even more perseverance on the way to your dreams.
Do you remember the dreams you had when you were children?
Find all these dreams, this curiosity, this different way of seeing things. Smile, kiss, cuddle, enjoy the people you love.
Never lose your dreams because of the newness, the things around you, the path that life takes or the little things you find on your way.
Tip 6: Don’t let your loved ones slow down your ambitions and thirst for success
The vast majority of people want to have money, a family, a house. According to Steve Jobs, these are common goals.
It advocates thinking beyond the common goals generally imposed by the primary institution (family) or secondary institution (school) through their education.
Ask yourself what you really want in your life. Once you have identified the real need of your life.
You will finally be ready to start doing what you love without ever giving up.
Tip 7: The problems you encounter on a daily basis can be great opportunities
How to create a product? How to create a need? What should I sell?
Here is some question that every entrepreneur may have to ask himself when he starts his activity or even during his activity.
Steve Jobs recommends creating a product according to your own needs. Indeed, if you manage to create a product that satisfies your daily needs without revolutionizing the world, on the one hand you will be able to improve your own comfort by creating your own product but also the comfort of others.
Indeed, if you solve your daily problem. So you solve the daily problems of thousands of other people.
Tip N°8: Sell your dreams and not your products
Narrow dreams are of an unnamed sadness.
When you have started a business, you dream that it will run quickly, that you can hire, that the turnover will grow in double digits.
Whether you sell service or products, sell your love and dreams that led you to produce them.
For Steve Jobs, buyers are not “consumers”, but people full of hope, dreams and ambition.
By winning the hearts of your potential customers, you will condition them to buy your products and services.
Touching feelings opens up many perspectives.
Tip 9: Don’t work for money
Don’t create your business for money. A little paradoxical for an entrepreneur.
Well according to Steve Jobs the money is made to reinvest it as much as possible in his company. The money will allow the development of the company.
It will also provide better value to customers. Don’t look for money as an end in itself.
This will be the consequence of what you have put in place. Help, with money, to develop your business and your customers.
This advice will allow you to guarantee the long-term success of your company with exponential effects.
Tip #10: Would you be proud to sell your services or products to your family?
This question can greatly help you create a quality product.
Indeed, who would dare to make a product of poor quality and sell it to a trusted person? No one. Or an individual without any ethics.
Work hard to make your product unique and of high quality. Be proud to present what you are presenting to those around you.
